Lambo limbo

Lambo limbo

When, in late August last year, Cape Town building contractor Judd Smith decided to trade in his black 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for an “approved” 2007 Lamborghini Murciélago priced at R2.5 million, at Imperial Collection in Cape Town, he hadn’t been on to the internet to google “Lamborghini”.

That came later or, rather, too late.

The bright orange vehicle has been described as a “bull-headed super car” and a “pristine example of rolling sex” – pretty-much what Smith felt about the car. His son and girlfriend refused to be seen in it – they found it too flash – but he and his Lambo were happy in one another’s company.

On the bright side, Judd can no longer drive recklessly along Ocean View Drive, where we both reside.

Paul, he was probably so bloody embarrased by the damned thing that he figured he would drive it at night when few others were around to see it !

I note he fails to mention his previous experiences with a Lamborghini Gallardo that also burnt out - would have thought once burnt, twice shy!!

Not sure why he mentions the cost of running the car - they are irrelevant to the article!

Final question, as a super car owner myself, why take a convertible Lamborghini Murciélago (that barely has a roof) out late on a winters Monday night
