Insurance giant SA Eagle repudiated Leon van Wyk’s insurance claim, accusing him of starting the fire at his motor-spares business. The day before Louw was due to see Eagle in court he was arrested and spent a terrifying week in jail. Van Wyk’s subsequent enquiries have spawned some startling allegations about SA Eagle and a large detective agency hired by the insurer to investigate claims.
