Tony Blair gave MAP a big boost when he joined President Mbeki in the publication of a joint manifesto “Comrades in a new struggle”. Dinkum! Clearly Blair is inclined to see Mbeki as a kindred spirit. But even after the concerted efforts of two separate PR companies, hired to boost Mbeki’s image in Britain, one British newspaper described Mbeki as “a man destroying Mandela’s legacy”.
Forget the PR - MAP was supposed to be about effective realistic action directed at solving our problems.
