Prior to 2005, people in all rural areas were entitled to free PO boxes to compensate for the absence of a mail delivery service. But the Post Office has since changed its policy and now they want to charge an annual rental for boxes. If your house is registered in the name of a non-trading trust, you pay; if it's in your own name, you don't. And villagers fume over the charges.
