My china Vink had a truly cute colonial house at Toll Gate, top of the Berea. It came with his job in the municipality. Trouble was, he had nothing to put in it except a bed and two thousand books; stove and fridge came with the house. Apart from that lot, the place was echoing empty but all he had to find was a pot, a plate, a cup and bits of cutlery and voila! everything was up and running.
