DA's Bredell plays pass-the-parcel

Western Cape Local Development MEC Anton Bredell is fast developing a nasty reputation for himself, as our whistle-stop tour of the Western Cape shows.

Naughty games are being played with the Overstrand land development folk, just speak to the Hermanus Ratepayers Association and you'll find out why they didn't participate.

I have long been concerned that the Prog influence within the DA is severely threatened by the presence of people who are in the party for the wrong reasons. By taking on board the wrong kind of whites (and the wrong kind of coloured folk too) the DA loses its claim to be a liberal party, and seriously damages its chances of winning the right kind of black support.

There are a lot of small towns now run by the DA, and I find it inconceivable that these dorpies should suddenly have acquired so many liberals so quickly. I can only conclude that the Nats, having lost their own party, have infiltrated the DA big time. We need a serious purging here. I would rather be a supporter of a truly liberal DA in opposition than become a fellow traveller of an illiberal DA in government.
