A litany of negligence

The Paarl Print fire investigators are hiding something - or they are incompetent, says expert.

Richard Spoor, the human rights lawyer appointed by the Union to defend the workers' interests has said that the factory was built without plans and that some fire escapes were not functional. 13 people died, around 200 workers were retrenched, yet Paarl Print is still operating and the fire enabled them to buy equipment that is more efficient.
