Everyone's a winner!

Everyone's a winner!

“Congratulations, you’ve won a free holiday – all you have to do to claim your prize is come to our offices on Wednesday at 6pm.”

The timeshare industry makes suckers of the public. Now one company is taking a blogger to court for pointing this out.

Just another case of the small man being bullied and subdued by the corporate crooks out there. I really dont know how these idiots still make money in SA, considering that most people do really know what they are about. They called me and told me I had won a car, but the telemarketer was quite stupid. I told her to send the prize announcement to me in writing. I then also told her that I knew she was scamming for timeshare or direct marketing etc, she denied it, so I told her to keep the car....idiots!

Readers will be glad to know that the matter has been amicably settled. Donn

The url above (www.donnedwards.openaccess.co.za) does not link.
The correct one appears to be http://donnedwards.openaccess.co.za/

The public support in this matter has been unanimous and overwhelming, and for that I am most grateful. I am trying to settle this matter, but if that doesn't work I will be facing two civil cases of "defamation" and "contempt of court", as well as the threat of two criminal cases of "crimen injuria" and "contempt of court" (again!?).

QVC dithered for 4 weeks before actually serving the court order, which is weird. And they failed to ask for any of the articles to be removed. Huh?

PS. There is no "www" in my blog address.

Good luck Donn
