One of the country’s most opulent mansions, valued at up to R100m, has been auctioned by the sheriff of Sandton to a happy buyer with insider knowledge – for just R400 000.

The sale in execution took place after the original billionaire owner allegedly took bad legal advice and ignored a court judgment in which he had been ordered to pay a relatively paltry debt.

This story yet again shows what greed can lead to. Simply paying what was owed----was not good enough; the billionaire had to show his almighty power by paying when he wanted to pay....IF he wanted to pay. Bravo that someone showed him LITERALLY---that you can't continue screwing everyone you wish---without consequences.
