The saga continues. We are still waiting for the outcome of the provincial investigation. It is already 23 Dec. Does it really take that long to read the report or does it take that long to make the outcome politically correct? Despite phoning Bredell on 3 occasions - we don't get any response.
Nel's 'hearing' took place 6-8 Dec and will continue 14-16 Feb - meaning there is another 2 months without him being able to do his job but still earning a full salary. We do question the presiding officer's bias as it is well known that he is a friend of Jansen. It is also questionable as to why the hearing is closed and not open? What is there to hide?
We are also waiting to hear if Nortje's rates and taxes are fully paid to the Swellendam municipality, seeing that he gets so much 'special' attention and clear preferential treatment.
